MABELVALE, Little Rock — The Little Rock Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire at Missy's 19th Hole Bar & Grill in Mabelvale after it closed down to sanitize after an employee tested positive for coronavirus.
Officials say the fire happened early Sunday morning and the bar was also tagged with graffiti that said "COVID house."
Fire marshals say the graffiti combined with a burn trail behind the building gave them reason to believe someone set the fire "intentionally."
Samples have been taken from the scene to look for any evidence of arson.
In a Facebook post on July 4, Missy's announced that it was closing down to sanitize the building after one person tested positive for COVID-19 and said "your safety is our concern."
On July 5, the bar posted another update on Facebook saying the bar was set on fire.
We will update this article with more information as it becomes available.
