LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge is investigating more COVID-19 related scams across the state, this time targeting the Hispanic community.
The scammers are taking advantage of the language barrier and offering a fake "immunity boost" for the virus, Rutledge said.
There have also been reports of people offering fake coronavirus tests. Rutledge stressed the dangers of accepting a test or treatment from anyone who is not a medical professional.
"If someone is trying to sell you something that is an immunity boost, it is a scam," Rutledge said.
"Walk away, save your money, do not give that money to a snake oil salesman who is claiming to have an immunity boost for COVID-19 because one it does not exist."
