While that ticket is unclaimed, we have an Arkansan who stepped forward to claim his prize from a $25,000 ticket sold in Hot Springs.

The winner, Paul Price Jr. won the lottery prize as part of a Jan. 27 drawing.

Price said that he and his wife claimed the prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on Feb. 2.

He purchased the the winning ticket at East Gate Food Mart on 140 Laplaza W. in Hot Springs Village.

Price said that he bought the ticket while on a routine trip to the store.

“The lady behind the counter said, ‘You are a winner, but we can’t cash that here,’” the couple shared with lottery officials.

From there, they headed off for the claim center in Little Rock.
