4 arrests made in Lonoke County shooting of teens attempting to steal vehicle

The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office says the teenagers are in the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. — Two Lonoke County teenagers are in the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries after being shot while attempting to steal a vehicle around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office said the property owners, 36-year-old Christopher Hill and 28-year-old Sierra Miller, shot the kids as they fled.

According to authorities, Hill is being charged with criminal attempt to commit murder in the second degree as well as simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms by a certain persons, while Miller is facing charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Both are being held at the Lonoke County Detention Center.

Sheriffs also said the teens are facing criminal charges for theft of property and breaking and entering.
