POPE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) – According to the Pope County Sheriff’s Office, deputies have received several reports of sexual and physical abuse of juveniles made over the past four days.
Police said these reports involved five juveniles and four suspects. As of Tuesday, all four suspects are in custody and awaiting formal rape and aggravated assault charges.
Paul Myers, 41, appeared before a judge Monday and was given a $350,000 bond. Police reports state that a complainant alleged that he had been involved in sexual misconduct with more than one minor.
The three remaining suspects – 43-year-old Kenneth Myers, 39-year-old Christopher Wilkins, and 24-year-old Autumn Wilkins – will appear in court Wednesday morning for bonds. Police said the circumstances of their arrests are unrelated to Paul Myers' charge.
Christopher Wilkins is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old while Autumn Wilkins sat back and laughed. The victim reportedly informed police that she was threatened to keep her silence.
Kenneth Myers’ role in the arrests is still unclear.
