HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - Former attorney, Andrea "Andi" Davis, turned herself in Thursday after being served arrest warrants earlier in the week.

Saline County deputy prosecutor Brian Clary told THV11 the warrants for Andrea Davis and her brother, Matthew, were issued Monday afternoon. As of Thursday afternoon, Andi was booked into the Garland County Detention Center.

The jail's website shows that Davis, 36, is charged with one count each of: Manslaughter, Fraudulent Use of a Communication Device, Residential Burglary, and Theft of Property. She received no bond for Manslaughter charge; $50,000 bond for the Fraudulent Use of a Communication Device; $5,000 for the Residential Burglary charge; and $7,500 for the Theft of Property Charge.

The Davises are charged in the February 2012 death of Maxwell "MaXx" Anderson who was found shot to death outside of Andrea's home.

Andrea Davis is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

According to the arrest report, investigators believe Maxx's death was the result of a drug deal. Based on text messages between Andrea Davis and Maxx Anderson, retrieved from their cell phones during forensic examinations, investigators believe Anderson was provided the money by Matt and Andrea Davis in order to purchase methamphetamine for them and returning to Andrea's residence, possibly without the drugs or the money, led to his death.

On Monday, February 27th, 2012, a text message was sent from Andrea's phone to Maxx's phone wherein the sender asked the receiver "Can you do that deal we talked about regarding the 1200 turkey. What he do is we got two ounces of gravy? 2400?" It is known to investigators that "turkey" is drug slang for amphetamine (meth) and "gravy" is drug slang for heroin or to inject a drug. The two of them continue to text back and forth concerning "turkey" and Maxx sent Andrea a text message advising he will need the cash up front when everything is arranged to which she replied, "Got it."

Investigators believe the money changed hands this same day because on February 28th, 2012, Andrea received a text message from Matt's phone saying that Maxx was supposed to come through. Andrea instructed him not to worry. Later that day, Andrea texted Maxx asking him to "grab the 100 of the turkey pie," and return the "12" due to a price jump. Maxx texted back in agreement. Within the next couple of hours, it is evident that a problem has developed as Andrea and Maxx text and call back and forth. Andrea was very upset and it appears that she believed Maxx had ripped them off and wants him to return the money. Also during the exchange, it is clear they were discussing a failed drug transaction. The calls and heated text continued into the next day, up until just prior to Maxx's death.
