BENTON, Ark. — Potholes have been a topic of conversation in Arkansas since the winter weather passed through the state.
It's an issue that could come with a hefty price tag for drivers, which is why the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has been working on pavement repairs for the past week.
ARDOT said drivers can expect lane closures on Interstate 30 westbound between Benton and Highway 70 on Sunday starting at 5:00 a.m. as road crews continue repairs, which includes fixing potholes.
Weather permitting, crews will alternately close inside and outside lanes. Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, and signage.
The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.
People can report potholes through Little Rock's 311 app or on the city's website.
If you encounter one on an interstate, you can let ARDOT know here.
