BENTON, Ark. — The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) announced a full overnight closure on Interstate 30 westbound in Saline County starting at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday through 5:00 a.m. Friday.
Weather permitting, road crews will close I-30 westbound between Exit 116 in Benton and Exit 114 in Saline County to mil and repair pavement.
According to ARDOT, I-30 westbound traffic will detour at Sevier Street (Exit 116), take a frontage road to Highway 229, and follow the highway back to the frontage road and I-30 westbound ramp at Highway 67/229 (Exit 114).
ARDOT said traffic at the frontage road intersection with Sevier and South streets will stay in the left lane to travel through a roundabout and continue westbound on the frontage road.
Traffic will be controlled with construction barricades, traffic barrels and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.
People can report potholes through Little Rock's 311 app or on the city's website.
If you encounter one on an interstate, you can let ARDOT know here.
