LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (November 16, 2017) - Arkansas citizens may now request a replacement Social Security card online at https://www.ssa.gov/onlineservices/.
In order for states to access this Social Security Administration service, they must first be fully compliant with requirements of the federal government’s “Real ID” program. Arkansas has issued more than 53,500 Voluntary Enhanced IDs since October 2016. These IDs meet all federal requirements and are considered “Real IDs.”
“We continually work to identify efficiencies within the services we provide to Arkansans,” said Governor Asa Hutchinson. “Giving citizens the option to order a Social Security replacement card online will save the time and effort of going to the local revenue office. We look forward to the ongoing expansion of these efficiency efforts.”
In order to request a replacement Social Security card online, Arkansans must have an Arkansas driver’s license or identification card.
