Arkansas State Police seeking details in hit-and-run of 84-year-old woman

MIDWAY, Ark. — Arkansas State Police are asking for the public's help in finding information regarding a pedestrian hit-and-run that happened on Monday.

According to reports, at about 9:00 p.m. on September 23, the White County Sheriff's Office got a call about a pedestrian who had been hit on the highway between Simpson Lane and Ransom Smith Road.

The victim was identified as an 84-year-old woman who investigators say was walking along the southbound shoulder of U.S. Highway 167 when she was struck by a vehicle.

No information has been released regarding the elderly woman's identity. Police have also not yet released any details of a possible suspect or vehicle type.
