LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Thursday, a 56-year-old Mountain View man pled guilty to four counts of first-degree murder in a Stone County Circuit Court.
Donnie Trammell was then sentenced to 60 years in the Arkansas Divison of Correction for the death of his parents, 75-year-old William Trammell and 72-year-old Sharon Trammell, and neighbors, 77-year-old Shirley Watters and 55-year-old James Watters.
The Stone County Sheriff's Office asked Arkansas State Police to investigate the incident after finding the four victims dead with gunshot wounds on April 21, 2022.
According to police, Shirley and James Watters were found dead in their Northcutt Road home, just south of Mountain View. Arkansas State Police said the bodies of William and Sharon Trammell were found dead several hours later inside their home near the Watters' residence.
Donnie Trammell was charged with the shooting deaths of all victims in May 2022. At that time, the sheriff's department said he was being held at the Stone County Jail on "unrelated probation violations."
Officials didn't release any information on what the unrelated violations were. Still, due to Donnie Trammell's criminal history, investigators said they were able to make a quick arrest in the investigation.
