LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — For the past 10 days, the Arkansas State Fair was in full swing providing entertainment and family fun to thousands of visitors.

According to officials, this year's attendance was the second largest in fair history, with a whopping 550, 899 people.

“We were thrilled to see so many people pouring in each day,” said General Manager Tiffany Wilkerson. “There is a lot of planning and hard work that goes into this event, so it’s rewarding to see it pay off and to know we are doing something right.”

Fair-goers enjoyed a streak of beautiful weather, thrilling rides, brand-new food vendors, and exciting entertainment.

“Mother nature was certainly good to us this year,” said Wilkerson. “But the variety of entertainment we provide for people of all ages is what keeps people coming back year after year, rain or shine. And with the newly implemented youth curfew and strong law enforcement presence, I think people know this is a safe and family-friendly event.”

This year also marked the return of concerts at Barton Coliseum.

“We want people to know that Barton Coliseum is back and open for business,” said Wilkerson. “It is a beautiful, historical venue that is ready for the return of concerts, shows, graduations, and more.”

That isn't all— this year, the Sale of Champions livestock auction raised a record $250,475 for youth 4-H and FFA scholarships.
