JONESBORO, Ark. — For the first time under head coach Butch Jones, Arkansas State is going bowling!
On Sunday, the Red Wolves accepted an invite to the Camelia Bowl, where they'll square off with Northern Illinois (6-6).
The game will be played at the Cramton Bowl stadium in Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday, December 23rd. It will air on ESPN at 11:00 a.m.
The Red Wolves wrapped up bowl eligibility with their 6th win of the season, a 77-31 blowout of Texas State. They fell the next week at Marshall to end the regular season at 6-6.
It will be the 18th bowl game in Arkansas State history (11th FBS bowl), and their first since 2019.
That year was also a Camellia Bowl appearance for the Red Wolves, a win over FIU. Arkansas State also played in the 2017 Camellia Bowl when they lost to Middle Tennessee.
