LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police recovered 100 pounds of illegal marijuana, six stolen driver's licenses and credit cards during a routine traffic stop on Interstate 40 East near the 169-mile marker Friday night.
According to authorities, the trooper detected a strong smell of marijuana, searched the vehicle, and found that 29-year-old Aboubacar Diallo of Houston had four large duffle bags filled with illegal drugs.
After a thorough search, the trooper also found Diallo to have six stolen driver's licenses and corresponding credit cards, which they said were returned to their owners.
Diallo was transported to the Lonoke County Detention Center and charged with felony possession of a schedule VI controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft by receiving.
ASP said additional charges may come following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.
