The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) announced on Monday afternoon that until further notice, they are suspending all 'item removal permits' at Lake Conway.
A controlled drawdown of the lake was started at the beginning of September and since then, the lake's water level has gone down enough so that they can begin the permitting process which includes input from the State Historic Preservation Office and some others.
During this next step of the lake's renovation, they suspended all of the item removal permits, and digging in the lake beds will not be allowed. Taking things from the lake bed is also prohibited.
