Arkansas Tech president leaving after 21 years

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (ATU)--Arkansas Tech University marked a milestone on Thursday when Dr. Robert C. Brown attended the final Board of Trustees meeting of his 21-year presidency.

Brown will retire from the presidency on June 30, 2014, as the second-longest serving president in Arkansas Tech history. He took office on July 1, 1993.

Only J.W. Hull, who served as Arkansas Tech president from 1932-67, has held the office for a longer period of time.
