PRESCOTT, Ark. — On September 11, officials arrested a man in Prescott on felony counts of engaging children in sexually explicit conduct and possessing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
According to reports, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office reached out to the Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in July 2024 following a citizen complaint.
An investigation revealed that 34-year-old Alejandro Mendoza of Texarkana, Arkansas had inappropriate contact with juveniles and exchanged photos with them.
Mendoza was transported to the Nevada County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $250,000 bond.
This investigation is currently ongoing, with additional charges expected.
