Woman in Arkansas wins $100,000 after playing Powerball

A small-town Arkansas woman is now the winner of a big $100,000 lottery prize that she won while playing Powerball.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A small-town Arkansas woman is now the winner of a $100, 000 lottery prize that she won while playing Powerball.

K. Anthony of Harrell claimed her big prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on February 1 after ordering a ticket on the Jackpocket lottery mobile app.

The winning numbers were 39, 41, 43, 49, and 64 with the Powerball being 4.

Anthony explained that she only plays lotto games about once or twice a month but this time she decided to buy a lottery ticket after attending a church sermon where they spoke about praising God for things that were on the way.

She had been actively avoiding Jackpocket’s congratulatory calls for two days because she thought they were scam calls.

“I didn’t even know I’d won,” Anthony said.

After finding out that she had won she explained that she couldn't even get a wink of sleep.

Anthony initially won a $50,000 prize but doubled her prize to $100,000 because she had ordered her ticket with the additional Power Play option.

Now that she is a winner, Anthony plans to use her winnings to remodel her home and take her family on a nice vacation. She plans to save the rest of the money and says that she will continue to play the lottery.
