MARIANNA, Ark. — The Marianna Police Department has arrested an 18-year-old for his involvement in a drive-by shooting on November 8.
According to reports, officials responded to a shots fired call near Doby Lane. As they arrived, several vehicles were seen leaving the area at high speeds.
A pursuit took place, ending near Hwy 1 and Hwy 242 in Phillips County.
18-year-old Omari Palmer was arrested in connection to this incident and charged with four counts of terroristic act, two counts of aggravated assault, fleeing, and various misdemeanor charges

"We are thankful that no one was injured in this dangerous incident," said Chief Rodney Perry. "However, this type of reckless behavior endangers the safety of our community. Our officers acted swiftly and decisively to bring the situation under control, but we still need the public’s help to fully understand what led to this act of violence. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward."
