State police arrest Little Rock man with 6 pounds of fentanyl in vehicle

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Monday, August 26, a vehicle pursuit led to the discovery of 6 pounds of fentanyl and the arrest of a Little Rock man.

According to reports, Little Rock police requested assistance from Arkansas State Police in pursuing a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro on South University Avenue near 65th Street.

Troopers saw the suspect vehicle enter a residential area near Baseline Road. The pursuit then continued north onto Chicot Road and University Avenue, with the suspect going over 110 mph to try and evade law enforcement.

Officials performed a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI) on the vehicle on South University, which forced them off the roadway.

The suspect fled on foot and was later located in a nearby tree-lined area. He was identified as 36-year-old Clifford Siglar of Little Rock and transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center.

A search of his vehicle revealed a backpack containing 6 pounds of fentanyl and a loaded handgun.

Siglar was charged with multiple felonies, including trafficking of a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearms by a certain person, fleeing, and other traffic violations.
