PINE BLUFF, Ark. — One person is dead and a suspect is behind bars after a shooting at The Arbor on Fir Apartments near the intersection of W. 30th and S. Fir in Pine Bluff.
According to reports, officers were responding to an unrelated call when they heard gunshots.
After locating the source, they found 37-year-old Timothy Cannady lying on the ground. He was unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, 22-year-old Martavius Keshawn Jackson called dispatch and identified himself as the shooter. He then returned to the scene and was taken into custody.
Jackson was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked on 1st-degree murder charges pending further investigation.
