Man arrested after Stone County shooting leaves one injured

The Stone County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest after a shooting incident left one person injured over the weekend.

STONE COUNTY, Ark. — The Stone County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting incident that left one person injured over the weekend.

According to reports, deputies were called to the Luber area on Saturday evening with reports of someone having been shot. 

Once they arrived at the scene they learned that someone had non-life-threatening injuries after they were shot at with a "small-caliber weapon." The victim was given aid and then flown into Little Rock for further treatment.

After doing several interviews and conducting a search at two different locations, 60-year-old Steven Alan Gill of Luber was determined as the suspect in this incident. 

He has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and with second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor.

No information has been released regarding the victim's identity or their current condition.
