Suspects arrested in mass shooting at Arkansas block party

Multiple suspects have been arrested after one person was killed and at least nine were injured in a shooting at a block party in Wynne on April 13.

WYNNE, Ark. — Police have arrested four suspects in connection with a shooting that occurred on Saturday, April 13 at a block party in Wynne, resulting in the death of one person and injuring at least nine others.

The suspects, 23-year-old Quavarius Milon, 18-year-old Tommie Frost, 21-year-old Carl Washington, and 22-year-old Cameron Crawford, all from Cross County, were taken into custody.

All four have been charged with first-degree murder, nine counts of first-degree battery, and nine counts of engaging in violent criminal group activity.

“I’m proud of how Arkansas State Police personnel worked with the Wynne Police Department to swiftly apprehend the suspects in this case,” said ASP Colonel Mike Hagar.

The incident occurred near the corner of Williams Avenue and Martin Luther King Street in Wynne. 

According to reports, two victims were run over by vehicles at the scene. 27-year-old Varian Campbell of Wynne was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Victims were ranged from ages 24 to 49.
