LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A shooting on Interstate 630 in Little Rock injured three people Tuesday.
The incident happened around 5:50 p.m. near the Pine Street/Cedar Street exit. Arkansas State Police (ASP) confirmed that the three victims are being treated at nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
ASP said witnesses saw a Honda Accord with three passengers traveling westbound on I-630 when a Dodge Durango pulled up to its left side and started shooting, injuring two travelers and causing lacerations on another.
Investigators believe the shooting was "not random and was not the result of road rage." Police said it's "too early" to comment on possible suspects.
Interstate 630 westbound lanes were closed for about two hours while authorities secured the scene. Since then, all lanes have reopened.
This is an ongoing investigation. We will update this story with more information when it becomes available.
