Best ways to beat traffic for Razorbacks game at War Memorial Stadium

Traffic is picking up as we near Thursday's kickoff between the Arkansas Razorbacks and UAPB Golden Lions. Here are the best ways for fans to beat the traffic.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The countdown for the opening kickoff between the Arkansas Razorbacks and UAPB Golden Lions continues to tick away, which means traffic is beginning to pickup near Fair Park Blvd as excitement starts to build among fans.

As we continue to inch towards the start of the college football season for both of these teams, here are the best ways for fans to beat traffic.

Typically, Fair Park Blvd is the go-to exit for fans to take when traveling to War Memorial Stadium. For those hoping to avoid a traffic jam near the popular exit, these are the best alternatives.

Drivers can instead choose to exit as though they are heading to UAMS. This route should allow many drivers an opportunity to hopefully bypass the traffic before coming into contact with the traffic jam.

Another alternate route would be to take that same UAMS exit, turn left after exiting, drive down 12th Street and take a right onto Fair Park Blvd.

As a third option, drivers could opt to remain on the interstate and skip the initial Fair Park Blvd exit and instead take the University exit, turning right onto Markham after exiting.

Lastly, drivers could decide to take the Woodrow exit. From there, fans would have to turn left on W. Capitol, left onto UAMS Blvd, and continue driving until they make it onto Monroe Street. From there, War Memorial will be on the left side for fans.
