Bryant Animal Control is asking for the public's help in finding information about an animal cruelty case involving a cat who was killed.

BRYANT, Ark. — Bryant Animal Control is asking for the public's help in finding information about an animal cruelty case involving a cat.

According to reports, shortly after 3:00 p.m. on March 25, animal control officers were called with reports of a cat that had possibly been a victim of animal cruelty.

Once they arrived they found a deceased male orange tabby cat that looked like it had suffered trauma to its head. After examining the cat they learned that it had been shot in the head by a blowgun dart that was about six inches long.

Officials said the cat's injury looked to be recent and that it had most likely happened that same day.

Anyone with information regarding the person or persons responsible for the incident is urged to contact Bryant Animal Control at (501) 943-0489 or email the department at animalcontrol@cityofbryant.com.
