CABOT, Ark. — Two people are now dead after they were hit by a train in Cabot on Saturday evening.
According to reports, shortly after 7:30 p.m., the Cabot Police Department got a call from Union Pacific regarding a strike indicator that was triggered on a train.
When officers arrived on the tracks near the Allman/Bevis Sports Complex they located one deceased person laying on one side of the tracks and another deceased person on the tracks under the stopped train.
The victims were identified as 16-year-old Liam Harrison and 16-year-old Charlie Elliott. The cause of death for both teens was determined as being struck by the train.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
