CATA strives to reach three million in bus ridership for 2014

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (CATA) - The Central Arkansas Transit Authority (CATA) strives to reach three million in bus ridership this year. To celebrate, CATA will give away a new IPad and free month-long CATABus passes to the one millionth, two millionth and three millionth riders.

This week, CATA expects to reach one million passengers for 2014 and award the millionth rider on site. The millionth rider will receive a mini IPad with a personalized CATA case and a month-long CATABus pass.

"We want to show our passengers how much they are appreciated by continuing to listen, improve our services and celebrate our achievements throughout the year." stated Jarod Varner, CATA executive director. "Central Arkansans are embracing the safe, comfortable and convenient service we provide and we are excited about the opportunity to celebrate our one millionth rider this week.
