CONWAY, Ark. — Conway police responded to a report of possible shots fired at a Cinemark movie theater on the evening of July 1.

The caller reported hearing what sounded like gunshots while in a single auditorium at the theater. They then quickly exited the building and contacted authorities.

After making contact with the caller, officers secured the scene and thoroughly searched the building and surrounding premises.

No other occupants present reported hearing anything, and no evidence of shots being fired was discovered.

Behind the theater, outside the previously mentioned auditorium, officers found remnants of fireworks, which may have been the source of the sound.

No injuries were reported during this incident.
