BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art of Bentonville was selected as one of the Washington Post's (WP) Top 20 Best Art Museums in America.
According to the WP, critics select the top 20 museums "based on the depth and breadth of the museums’ collections, the quality of their exhibitions, and their history of public engagement."
Crystal Bridges ranked 17 on the list and was described as "thoroughly professional, innovative, open-minded and adventurous." WP also highlighted the museum's hosting of the 2018 American debut of Black Power artists, saying it has been "keenly attentive to contemporary art and culture issues as it is to the longer arc of American art."
Crystal Bridges said they were honored to be part of the list.
"We are proud to create a space where art, nature, and guests can connect in inspiring ways every day. A huge thank you to our staff, community, and YOU, for the continued support," Crystal Bridges said on Instagram.
