Expansion of French aerospace company in Little Rock bringing 800 new jobs to city

Dassault Falcon Jet, a company with thousands of employees, has decided to expand its presence in the capital city and will be creating 800 more jobs.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — After they met with Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders alongside other senior Arkansas leaders at the Paris Air Show in June, Dassault Falcon Jet, a company with over 12,700 employees has decided to expand its presence in the capital city.

The expansion will create 800 new jobs in our city, and they are expanding their work in Little Rock to help support both the development and delivery of their new Dassault Falcon 6X business jet as well as future Falcon programs.

Dassault Falcon Jet decided on Little Rock as the location for its Falcon completion center expansion based on the presence of its existing facilities, the number of skilled workers in the area, and the strong support from both local and state officials.

“Today’s announcement cements Arkansas’s role as an aerospace powerhouse, growing our state’s largest export industry by 800 new jobs,” said Gov. Sanders“I’m grateful to Dassault’s leadership for doubling down on their investment in Central Arkansas and will keep cutting taxes, growing our workforce, and improving our schools to help Arkansas’s aerospace industry continue to expand.”

The company has operated in Arkansas since 1975 when they first opened their aircraft completion facility in Little Rock. They employ about 1,400 workers across two facilities in the city.

The Little Rock facility is the company's largest in the world in terms of both its number of employees and footprint.

Mayor Frank Scott Jr. explained how Dassault Falcon Jet has remained one of the city's best companies and corporate citizens for almost five decades.

“This 800-job expansion amplifies this company’s importance as an economic engine for our city and region. We applaud Dassault Falcon Jet’s commitment to Little Rock and look forward to many more decades as community partners," Mayor Scott added.
