LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The daughter of a missing Independence County woman found dead has reportedly been charged with her murder.
Linda Jo Stingley was reported missing Monday, June 2 when she reportedly did not return home from work in Batesville. Her body was found in a rural wooded area just outside Malvern on Wednesday, and some of her personal items were reportedly found in Bryant.
The Independence County Sheriff's Department presented their case to the prosecutor's office and after a review of the fact, first degree murder charges have been filed for 40-year-old Jerri Lyn Acklin, Stingley's daughter.
Acklin is currently behind bars on a $500,000 cash bond.
