Documentary highlighting iconic Memphis 'Rendezvous' to be shown in Central Arkansas theaters

Beginning on Friday, both foodies and documentary lovers alike will have the chance to ring in the summer season with a special limited-run screening of The ‘Vous.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Beginning on Friday, May 31 both foodies and documentary lovers alike will have the chance to ring in the summer season with a special limited-run screening of The ‘Vous.

The film highlights the world-famous Memphis BBQ restaurant, "The Rendezvous" as it faces unprecedented change while celebrating its 70+ years in business. The legendary waiters are retiring and the family business is now moving into a third generation.

It also highlights how the family-owned restaurant has been so successful for several decades. Arkansas filmmakers Jack Porter Lofton and Jeffrey Dailey spent five years capturing footage of the rich history and people who helped shape the restaurant into what it is today.

The ‘Vous will screen at the Riverdale 10 VIP Cinema in Little Rock beginning with a 7:00 p.m. showing on Friday, May 31. After the screening on Friday, there will be a question-and-answer session with both Lofton and Dailey as well as the legendary Rendezvous staff. 

The film will be shown at Riverdale 10 through Wednesday, June 5, 2024. 

It will also be screening at the Central City 10 Cinema in Hot Springs for a limited time beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024. There will also be a question and answer session held for this screening.
