ARKANSAS, USA — The Garland County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that they recovered the body of a man from Lake Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, at around 4:30 p.m., someone reported having seen a body in the Long Beach Point area of the lake and then called police to report it.
Once deputies arrived at the scene they found an unresponsive 74-year-old man who they believe drowned while swimming in the lake.
While the name of the victim is not being released at this time, officials said the elderly man is a Hot Springs resident who they believe lived nearby.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing and we will update with more information as soon as it becomes available.
