LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Saturday, September 7, the Central Arkansas Library System will celebrate the John Gould Fletcher Library's 50th anniversary.
Festivities will take place at the library at 823 N. Buchanan St. in Little Rock from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include indoor and outdoor activities, yard games, a bounce house, a selfie station, and a bubble machine.
Guests can enjoy free refreshments, hot dogs, cake, and treats from Le Pops. The Rackensack Folklore Society will perform at noon.
"The Fletcher Library is a vital part of our neighborhood, bringing together our diverse community and creating a sense of belonging," said Liz Wooley, Fletcher Library branch manager. "We provide everyone a place to study, collaborate, explore, and create. From our birdwatching area to our community meeting rooms and our green space, Fletcher Library is where our neighborhood comes together to learn, connect, and grow."
The Fletcher Library serves the Heights, Hillcrest, and Midtown neighborhoods.
