YELLVILLE, Ark. — Considerable rainfall has led to flash flooding across the Natural State, with some of the heaviest reports coming from Marion County in north Arkansas.
Sections of MC 8060 are impassible at the Moccasin Creek Bridge and multiple streets in Flippin and Yellville are currently flooded, according to the county's Arkansas Office of Emergency Management.
Video and photos of the bridge over Moccasin Creek show a section connecting to the bridge washed away due to the rushing waters caused by the flood.
According to the Stone County Leader, the heavy rains led to the Sylamore Creek claiming kayaks, hay bales, and many other objects including a camper trailer.
They also said that about 15 inches of rain had fallen overnight in areas northwest of Mountain View.
Additionally, homes are being evacuated in some areas. Officials advised residents to stay home if possible and be cautious on the roads if they have to drive.
