AUGUSTA, Arkansas — Arkansas State Police arrested 33-year-old Jacob Shafer of Palestine, Arkansas on October 10.
Shafer, former principal and softball coach at Augusta High School, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and sexual indecency with a child.
In July 2023, the Woodruff County prosecutor requested an investigation after Shafer was fired by the school district for alleged inappropriate behavior with female students.
He is currently being held in the Woodruff County Jail.
