LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the official launch of her office's Faith-Based Initiatives website, which aims to unite faith communities across Arkansas.
Faith leaders can sign up to join a network of fellow advocates to address issues like childhood hunger, mental illness, maternal health, foster care, social media, and more.
“Faith is the guiding light in my life and in the lives of so many Arkansans,” said Governor Sanders. “Arkansas’ faith communities are built on serving others. When we unite our churches, temples, and faith-based nonprofits around the common issues facing our state, I know we’ll build a better, brighter Arkansas.
By joining the governor's new faith-based initiatives team, groups can join advocates across the state and "mobilize Arkansans in their communities around common goals."
As Gov. Sanders compiles a list of faith communities willing to help, her team will reach out to stakeholders to help "raise awareness and address issues facing Arkansas."
