LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has announced that she will be going on an overseas trade mission to the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom to promote Arkansas aerospace.
“Aerospace is Arkansas’ largest export industry and it’s getting larger every year. As we cut taxes, grow our workforce, and invest in education, we’re becoming an even more attractive state for investment. This trip will be crucial to getting that news out to some of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world," Gov. Sanders said.
In 2023, Gov. Sanders went on a trade mission in France, which helped secure land projects and bring new income from the aerospace industry into the state.
“My trade mission to the Paris Air Show last year was a huge success, helping Arkansas land projects from international players like Dassault Falcon and RTX, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars in investment for our state. This year, I’ll continue that success by pitching Arkansas at the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom and meeting with some of our state’s major business partners in Germany,” the governor added.
