BENTON, Ark. — The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) issued a notice regarding the Interstate 30 widening project Tuesday.
ARDOT said the Highway 67 ramp to I-30 East in Benton will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Nov. 1 until Nov. 11 to widen I-30 to six lanes in Saline County.
Traffic cannot use the I-30 eastbound on-ramp during the closure, and people will need to follow the signed detours.
They are as follows:
- West on Frontage Road (north of I-30)
- West on I-30 to Exit 106 (Old Military Road)
- South on the overpass toward I-30 East on-ramp
- East on I-30
This project is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program. It includes widening 5.5 miles of I-30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116).
The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available here.
