HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — An investigation is underway after the Hot Springs Police Department responded to a shooting on Sunday, July 7 that resulted in one death.
Officers located a male suffering from at least one gunshot wound on the 400 block of Wade Street. He was later pronounced deceased and identified as 44-year-old Johnny Lee Simon.
24-year-old Essie Fuller III was later identified by officials as a suspect involved in the shooting. He was taken into custody and charged with theft by receiving of a firearm and faces possible additional charges at a later date.
Hot Springs police forwarded an investigative file to the Garland County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, for review.
