Police: Investigation underway into Hot Springs shooting that killed two, injured one

The Hot Springs Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people dead and one injured on Friday evening.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — The Hot Springs Police Department is now investigating a shooting incident that left two people dead and one other injured on Friday evening.

According to reports, just after 5:00 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Beard Street with reports of a shooting. When they arrived at the scene they found two victims inside a parked car suffering from what looked like bullet wound injuries.

The 20-year-old driver of the vehicle identified as 20-year-old Adrianna Howell was pronounced dead while still at the scene and the 20-year-old passenger identified as Mahayla Swayze was taken to the hospital for treatment. 

She later died due to her injuries days later on March 24. 

A third juvenile victim was found nearby on North Patterson Street suffering from a non-life-threatening injury to the leg. They were also taken to a nearby hospital, and no information has been released about their condition.

Police have arrested two juveniles for their alleged involvement in the shooting. They have been charged with two counts of capital murder and one count of aggravated robbery.

A third juvenile suspect has now turned himself in to the police. He has been charged with two counts of capital murder and one count of aggravated robbery.

The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
