HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — The Hot Springs Police Department responded to the Lakeside High School Campus on September 18 after receiving reports of a threatening social media post.
The message had allegedly been posted on Snapchat by a 15-year-old student and implied that another student had a firearm on school property.
Police and school officials have investigated the matter and determined it to be false.
The student responsible for creating the post has been charged with communicating a false alarm as a result.
