The Baxter County Sheriff's Office was called to a remote Clarkridge location early Sunday morning regarding a woman claiming her boyfriend shot her, according to an an incident report written by Sgt. Robert Recktenwald.

A 911 dispatcher received a call from a man who said a woman contacted him on Facebook and said she had been shot by her boyfriend.

Dispatchers told deputies the woman was able to leave the scene and would be in some nearby woods awaiting help.

Deputy Jamie Binnion was first on scene and reportedly found 29-year-old Sabrina Everett of Clarkridge near the intersection of of Baxter County roads 36 and 1419.

As Binnion was speaking to Sabrina Everett, she was reportedly picking shotgun pellets out of her leg.

The woman told deputies she was arguing with Michael Cody Everett when she turned away from him. Then, she reportedly heard a gunshot and instantly felt pain in her leg.

She also complained of a possible broken rib. Sabrina Everett was left with two BCSO personnel to await the arrival of an ambulance. Recktenwald and Binnion, along with a Department of Corrections dog team, went to the couple's home to attempt to locate Michael Everett.

With personnel covering the front and back door to the home, Binnion knocked on the door and announced the presence of law enforcement. When several attempts were made, they received permission from a supervisor to break down the door.

They found two people in the home but no sign of Michael Everett. They did find two shotguns in the residence, according to Recktenwald's report.

The canine team tracked a scent from the Everett home to a nearby neighbor's residence. That neighbor gave permission and authorities searched the home for Michael Everett who wasn't found.

An investigator later spoke with Michael Everett, who reportedly told the investigator he "had made it to Missouri."

Meanwhile, Sabrina Everett was reportedly uncooperative with deputies and "extremely intoxicated," according to Recktenwald's report. She declined to allow deputies to photograph her wounds and informed them she did not want to press charges against her husband.

When first contacted by a deputy at the beginning of the incident, Sabrina Everett allegedly reached into her purse, pulled out a marijuana cigarette and handed it to a deputy.

Sabrina Everett was arrested on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. She was taken to the Baxter County jail where she was held in lieu of a $3,327 bond.
