Little Rock police make arrest in overnight shooting that left one dead

The ​Little Rock Police Department is investigating after one person was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds on Otter Creek Parkway overnight.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update: Police have taken 26-year-old Quintierous Thomas into custody for his involvement in this homicide. He has been charged with capital murder. 

Little Rock police are investigating a homicide after one person was found dead overnight.

Officers responded to shots fired at 13600 Otter Creek Parkway and discovered a male later identified as 27-year-old Owen Mitchell suffering from apparent gunshot wounds as he lay on the ground in the breezeway of a building.

First responders began to help Mitchell but he was ultimately pronounced dead while still at the scene.

Homicide detectives were notified and have launched an investigation into the incident.
