JACKSONVILLE, Ark. — The Jacksonville Police Department has made an arrest in the shooting death of a man on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, at about 2:00 a.m. on September 18, officers were called to a home on Smart Street with reports of a shooting in the area.
Once they arrived, they found a man later identified as Timotheus Danzy sitting outside the home. While inside the home, they discovered another man, later identified as Lawerence Arnold suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Reports say that Arnold is Danzy's uncle.
Arnold was pronounced dead while at the scene. Danzy was arrested and charged with capital murder in connection to his uncle's death.
