Joe T. Robinson Elementary School releases students & staff early after air quality concerns in building

Students and staff at Joe T. Robinson Elementary were evacuated to the high school due to concerns about a possible substance in the air in one of the classrooms.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. — Update: After the West Pulaski Fire Department and CTECH conducted air quality tests, they determined that there were no concerns. The building has been given the all-clear for students and staff to return on Wednesday.

Students and staff at Joe T. Robinson Elementary were evacuated due to concerns about a possible substance in the air in one of the classrooms.

The West Pulaski Fire Department hazmat team responded to the campus and is working to determine the issue.

Out of an abundance of caution, school will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. and all students and staff will be transported to the Robinson High School's Champion Center. Car and bus riders can both be picked up from this location.

At this time, no one is allowed inside Robinson Elementary until it is deemed clear by the fire and sheriff's departments.
