Here's a list of resources to help the Fordyce community

After the tragic mass shooting, many people have been asking for ways that they can help those in the Fordyce community, so we've put together a list of resources.

FORDYCE, Ark. — When tragedies happen, is when a community grows stronger and closer together. 

After the tragic and deadly mass shooting at the Mad Butcher, people in Fordyce and the surrounding communities have been coming together to show their support for one another.

Many people have been asking for ways that they can help those in the Fordyce community, whether it be through monetary donations or food donations. Or if you've found yourself in need of services from mental health professionals or other kinds of assistance, we've also found resources to help.

Food pantries:

Assistance for victims directly impacted by incident:

Tips for survivors of traumatic events: 

  • Connect with people who understand and help you through trigger events.
  • Seek care from a trained, trauma-informed provider
  • Have a self-care plan that includes strategies for building resilience
  • Practice your spiritual beliefs or reach out to a faith leader for support.
