LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The city of Little Rock honored late musician TC Edwards with his own day nearly five years after he was murdered.
Mayor Frank Scott Jr. proclaimed Feb. 17, 2020, as TC Edwards Day. It would have been his 49th birthday.
Terry Charles "TC" Edwards was a Little Rock heavy metal musician. He played almost nightly at Pizza D's in Little Rock.
Mike Poe, a very close friend of TC, held a fundraiser and birthday celebration for him at Pizza D's Monday night. He said the night is all about remembering TC and playing the music he loved.
"Whenever he was alive, for a good 15 years straight, we either threw a big party for him at a local venue or we took him to Hollywood, New Orleans or Austin, or we took him to a nice dinner and came here. So, this is kind of a nice mix of those two together," Poe said.
TC was found shot to death at an abandoned house on Howard Street on Dec. 7, 2014, walking home after playing a show at Pizza D's.
No one has been charged in his murder. There is a $20,000 reward for evidence or information that leads to a murder conviction in his case.
