Little Rock Fire Department puts out fire on Asher Avenue

The Little Rock Fire Department was working to put out a fire that sparked at a building on Asher Avenue.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Little Rock Fire Department was working to put out a fire.

According to reports, information as to what happened remains limited at this time but we do know the fire sparked at what was described as an abandoned building along Asher Avenue.

Police were called to the scene at around 5:15 p.m., and the Little Rock Fire Department showed up quickly after to extinguish the flames.

The west lane of Asher Avenue was closed as crews worked to put out the fire earlier this evening but it has since been put out. 

There is no information released just yet on the cause of the fire or if there were any injuries.

The investigation into this incident remains ongoing and we will update more as soon as it becomes available.
